Group Images

In this tutorial, you will learn how to set default group images, to better customize your site for your brand and community. You can choose to use the default WordPress avatars (Gravatar), BuddyBoss avatars, or a custom image.

Configure Group Images

Select Group Avatars

Navigate to BuddyBoss – Settings – Groups. Now jump to the Group Images section. If you enable the Group Avatar by ticking the box then the Default Group Avatar will be there.

If you just disable the Group Avatar option, the Default Group Avatar will disappear.

Select Group Cover Images

Enable Group Cover Images for groups.

Same as the Group Avatar if you disable the Group Cover Images, those cover image options won’t be available there.

Here your selected cover images will appear for those groups which haven’t yet uploaded any cover image. You can change the Cover Image Sizes as well. Don’t forget to click the Save Settings button.

Now see the preview of Cover Image in both Browser and App version. If you want to change the background color of the cover image then click on the Theme Options right below the preview section.

This will lead you to the Colors – Theme Options of BuddyBoss. You will find the Cover Image Background Color option. We have selected a color here and click the Save Changes button otherwise it won’t show up in the background.

Now see the preview of your browser. Next click on the Color right below the preview.

After clicking the hyperlink Color option, it will lead you to the App Color settings. Change the Cover Image Background color there. If you

Let’s now click on the App to see what changes we have made there.

Now, reload the frontend of your Groups page. You will see the default BuddyBoss avatar.

Select the Legacy avatar and Group Cover Image as None. Don’t forget to hit the Save Settings button.

Again reload the frontend of the Groups page.

Select the Custom option and click the Upload button. In both Avatar and Cover Image you can add your desired picture.
