Troubleshooting and FAQs
Q: I still don’t see an update after refreshing—what now?
A: Double-check that your license key is entered correctly under License Keys, then clear any caching plugins before re-checking for updates.
Q: The manual install failed with a “file already exists” error—how can I fix it?
A: Ensure you fully deleted the old plugin folder via Plugins > Delete or via FTP before uploading the new ZIP.
Q: Will deleting the plugin remove my settings?
A: No. BuddyBoss stores settings and data in the database, so deleting the plugin won’t erase your configurations.
Q: Why isn’t the “Check Again” button working?
A: A firewall or security plugin may be blocking external requests. Temporarily disable those plugins or ask your host to allow connections to api.buddyboss.com.
Q: Who should I contact if updates still fail?
A: Open a ticket with BuddyBoss Support via your account dashboard so our team can investigate your license and update logs.
