How to Connect the License Key for BuddyBoss Theme

Introduction

Activating your BuddyBoss Theme license ensures you receive automatic updates and premium support. You can connect your license either via the recommended Auto Connect method or by manually entering your license details.

Auto Connect (Recommended)

1. In WordPress admin, go to BuddyBoss > License Keys.
   
2. Click Connect to BuddyBoss. You’ll be redirected to buddyboss.com.
   
3. Log in with your BuddyBoss account and click Allow when prompted.
   
4. Your license key and account email will be populated automatically, and your theme will be activated.
   

Manual Connect

1. Log in to your BuddyBoss account at buddyboss.com and navigate to My Account > Downloads to locate your License Key and Account Email.
2. In WordPress admin, go to BuddyBoss > License Keys.
3. Paste your License Key and Account Email into the corresponding fields.
4. Click Save Changes to activate.

Q: The Auto Connect button isn’t working—what should I do?
A:

• Ensure no security plugins or firewalls are blocking outbound connections to api.buddyboss.com.
• Temporarily disable such plugins and retry Auto Connect.
  

Q: I entered my license manually but activation failed—why?
A:

• Double-check that your License Key and Account Email are correct and free of extra spaces.
• Save changes again, then refresh the page to verify activation status.
  

Q: How can I verify my theme is activated?
A: After connecting, you’ll see an Active status next to your theme under BuddyBoss > License Keys. You’ll also receive update notifications under Dashboard > Updates.

Q: Will deactivating and reactivating break my site?
A: No. Settings and customization remain intact. You can safely reconnect your license without affecting your site’s content or design.
