How to Configure Group Emails in BuddyBoss

Introduction

This article shows you how to configure Group Emails for your social groups in BuddyBoss. You’ll learn how to access, edit, and personalize email templates using Email Tokens, ensuring your group notifications are professional, engaging, and consistent with your community’s branding.

Access Group Settings

  1. Open your Dashboard and navigate to BuddyBoss > Components.
  2. Scroll down and click on Social Groups.

Locate Email Tokens

  1. Go to BuddyBoss > Help and select BuddyBoss Platform.
  2. Scroll down to the BuddyBoss > Labs section.

  1. Click on BuddyBoss > Labs, then choose BuddyBoss Emails.
  2. Select Email Tokens from the available options.

  1. Scroll further to locate Group Tokens. These tokens enable you to edit group email notifications.

Customize an Email Template

  1. In the left sidebar, click on Emails.
  2. Use the search feature to locate a specific template (e.g., search for “Group details updated”).

  1. Click on the corresponding email template to open it.
  2. Edit the Plain Text Email Content as required.

Restore Default Email Templates

  1. Navigate to Tools > Repair Community.
  2. Tick the Reset Emails option.
  3. Click the Repair Items button.
