How to Fix Missing Google API Service Accounts in Google Cloud Platform

If you’re unable to find your Google API service account keys in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), it may be due to signing in with the wrong Google account. This guide explains how to verify the correct login and regain access to your service account keys.

Common Cause

Missing service account keys typically occur when:

  • You’re logged into GCP with a different Google account than the one used to create or manage your developer project.

How to Fix It

  1. Sign Out of All Google Accounts from your browser.
  2. Sign In Again using the email address associated with your Google Developer or Google Cloud project.
  3. Navigate to Google Cloud Console and check if the service account keys are visible under:
    • IAM & Admin > Service Accounts
    • Select the correct project from the top project selector
