How to Schedule an Activity Feed Posts in BuddyBoss

Introduction

Scheduling posts in your BuddyBoss community allows you to plan your content calendar strategically, save time, and maximize engagement by publishing at the most effective times. This feature is available for site administrators, group owners, and group moderators.

Enabling Schedule Posts

Access Settings

1. Go to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Navigate to BuddyBoss > Settings > Activity.

Enable Schedule Posts

1. Under Activity Settings, locate the option labeled Schedule Posts.
2. Check the box next to Schedule Posts to activate the feature.

3. Click Save Settings to apply the changes.

Creating a Scheduled Post

Create a New Post

1. Compose a new post within your BuddyBoss community.
2. Locate the clock icon next to the Post button.

Schedule Your Post

1. Create a new activity post.
2. Click the clock icon to open the scheduling dropdown menu.
3. Select Schedule Post from the options.

4. In the pop-up window, select your preferred date and time for the post.

5. Click Next to confirm the schedule.
6. The Post button will now change to Schedule.

7. Click Schedule to queue the post for automatic publishing at the selected time.

Viewing and Managing Scheduled Posts

View Scheduled Posts

1. Click on the clock icon and select View Scheduled Posts.

2. A list of all scheduled posts will appear, showing their planned publication dates and times.

Edit a Scheduled Post

1. Click the pencil icon next to the post you want to edit.

2. Modify the content or change the scheduled date and time as needed.
3. Click Update Schedule to save the changes.

Clear or Delete a Scheduled Post

1. Click Clear Schedule to remove the scheduled date and time, which will publish the post immediately.

2. To delete the post, click the delete icon next to it.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Q: Why can’t I see the scheduling option in BuddyBoss?
A: Ensure that you have enabled the Schedule Posts option in BuddyBoss > Settings > Activity. 

Q: How do I cancel a scheduled post?
A: Go to View Scheduled Posts, locate the post, and click Clear Schedule to publish it immediately or Delete to remove it.
