Introduction
This guide explains how to manage post visibility on the BuddyBoss Platform. With post visibility settings, you can control which types of updates—such as profile changes, blog posts, or other content—appear in your activity feed. You can also enable commenting on these posts directly from the feed, ensuring your community sees only the content you want.
Access Activity Settings
- Open your BuddyBoss Dashboard > Settings > Activity.
Configure Profile Update Posts
- Navigate to the Posts in Activity Feeds section.
- To disable these posts, uncheck the corresponding option (e.g., for profile details).
- Click Save Settings.
Configure Blog Post Activity
- Find the option for blog posts in the Activity Settings.
- To prevent automatic posts about new blog posts from appearing in your Activity Feed, uncheck this option; to enable them, check it.
- Click Save Settings.
- Test by creating a new blog post with a featured image and content.
- If enabled, the new blog post will appear in the News Feed, complete with its featured image and description.
Enable Activity Feed Commenting on Blog Posts
- In the same settings panel, locate the option to allow Activity Stream commenting on blog posts, forum discussions, and topics.
- Check this option to enable comments directly from the Activity Feed.
- Click Save Settings.

Q: What happens to old posts if I disable an option?
A: Existing posts will remain in the Activity Feed, but new posts for that event will not be generated.
Q: Why are my blog posts not showing in the Activity Feed?
A: Verify that the blog posts option is enabled in BuddyBoss > Settings > Activity. If it’s unchecked, new blog posts won’t appear.
Q: Can I re-enable a disabled post type later?
A: Yes, simply return to BuddyBoss > Settings > Activity, check the desired option, and click Save Settings.
