I love this plugin but is there any update on when this bug will be fixed? There’s another related issue too. I have Buddypress installed sitewide with BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG set to true. When a user is mentioned on site A (for example) with a different theme enabled, a notification is displayed on site B (with BuddyBoss enabled) as it should, but when clicking on the notification it goes to the notifications stream but does not show the notification in question. If I go to another sub site with with another theme enabled (and where the wall plugin is switched off) there is no issue and I see the notification.

Thanks @michael but the notifications of mentions are seldom coming through on buddyboss child theme. On the other themes I have installed they always come through.

Also, the notifications not clearing bug is indeed fixed, but when a notification is selected in the admin bar it takes you to the wall and not to your notifications stream.

@Michael Thanks. I’m not sure this was working on this site earlier today, but I may be wrong. I don’t expect to use BB Wall on the particular site I’m working on, but I’ll keep an eye on it 🙂

Sorry, I meant that when a mention comes through and you click on the notification in the admin bar it does not direct you to your mentions stream but to your wall – must be a bug. As a result I have had to disable the plugin.

With this plugin activated, the “mentions” tab is removed from the profile page and after clicking on the mentioned notification in the admin bar I am directed to a URL with the syntax “…members/username/activity/mentions/”. This leads to a 404 page (as the generated URL is incorrect). Whereas, with the plugin disabled, the notification points to the mentions tab on the profile page which works as normal. @michael
Any ideas on how to solve this? I am keenly waiting for this to be fixed before I launch a marketing campaign. (And this plugin is one of the main reasons I bought the theme with this plugin.)

@style960 It should be working on this site now. You may have had some old JS file cached in your browser for a couple page loads.

@namrons Yes, BB Wall removed the Mentions tab as the mentions are merged into the Wall tab. The Wall uses the mention as a post to the recipient’s wall, that way if you deactivate the plugin the mentions still display. Clicking a mention notification *should* take you to the Wall and not a 404… Are you still getting a 404? I haven’t been able to reproduce that. If so, please PM me credentials to your site so I can check it out.

mentions in the Notifications now redirect to your Mentions tab on the Activity index. Should fix this issue.
