second, parallel dropdown menue

hi, i recently noticed that my site shows a second users profile menue in parallel to the profile dropdown menue.
any idea where this may come from? i tried to deactivate several plugins, but no success, also tried different menue settings.. it´s visible on chrome, firefox and safari

the parallel menue includes links to the profile, friends, messages, photos, settings and logout… looks like comming from the template itself..

any idea?

one additional finding on this issue, it seems that this double menue issue only appears using the front end with site superuser (multisite/buddypress).
works for standard admins and users.
