+1 on this. I just had to talk down a couple of frustrated members who thought they’d sent me a message, but it didn’t send because they entered my username incorrectly.

Very few people are going to think to look for the correct username when composing a message – they’re just going to type in a name and then get angry that it doesn’t work.

BuddyPress have default functionality for auto suggestion for your friends. It also works with Inbox plugin.

Sure, Varun, but I’m not using the Friend Connections component in BP, so no suggestions appear.

Hi @davejay, It will be specific requirement only.

It will be better to get a developer and ask him to edit compose template files and add user search option on it.
