Major Breakage of my site on upgrading to Boss 2

I upgraded to Boss v2 today and it broke my site in a major way. I have a child theme in place (the Boss child theme, with my own mods in it), does that need to be upgraded as well? On the upgrade, I lost all my settings. Is that breakage part of the move to Redux? Are there some steps to automate it if that’s what it was? This was a really bad update experience.

Please check new header.php file and add your edits according to new header file
