Question
October 30, 2015 at 11:30 am #50178@cveilleux11I would like to have our site set up similar to the Boss Theme Demo.
When a user is logged out, I would like them to see a blog menu item, members item and so on. How on earth can I show these navigation menu items to logged out users. Where do I edit the navigation menu items I want shown to both logged in and logged out users?
I would like people view profiles while not logged in, but have to log in, in order to do post…just like the Boss demo.
Thanks in advance

October 30, 2015 at 12:32 pm #50182@cveilleux11I figured it out and will also use that plugin. It appears that after initial install the boss theme didn’t recognize the fact I had opted to have the buddypanel visible to logged out users. I simply selected ‘Hide’ buddypanel from logged out users…saved it and then went and selected ‘show’ buddypanel to user and saved it…now it works like a charm.
I do have a question @style960 – How could I hide the activity wall from logged out users? I only want members to be able to view peoples wall activity.
Thanks!

Although I haven’t tried it.I suspect this is very easy to do by applying a check to see if the user is logged in (true or false). If false return a message prompting them to register. I would maybe ask this one on the Buddypress forums – https://buddypress.org/support/
