    Hi,
Unfortunately I just noticed yet another issue. My Ajax global search dropdown suddenly disappeared today. It works normal when logged in but doesn’t show up anymore when logged out, which is really weird because I didn’t install anything new. Yesterday it still worked. The only thing I updated today was actually your own two updates. I think it was regarding the activity post editing. You can check on my site (europeanslivingabroad.com), you still have login details. Maybe you can also check on your install…Thanks.

    Hi Pallavi,
thanks for the reply. I deactivated Ginger but it didn’t change anything. Ginger is a Cookie law notification pop-up and one of the first plugins I had from the beginning. It was not updated for quite some time and did not cause any issues in the past. Thus it is unlikely causing the new problem by itself.

Only after your updates of BB Global Search three days ago and BB Media and BB Edits yesterday the Ajax search disappeared. I did not install anything new during this time and deactivated all other updates during the last days and deactivated all page changes. No change. It really looks like your BB updates caused this.

Please look at the Error code from the Inspector I send you via private msg. from the homepage. It shows an BB Media plugin error on the homepage regarding Javascript. I am pretty sure that was the BB Media update yesterday causing some new issues.

    Thanks for checking…

Hi @bstrehl, We have checked it here at our Sandbox sites and it working fine at our end with all the current and old version of plugins (see the attached screenshot).

Might be any other plugin conflicting with it.

Deactivate plugins one by one to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

I can confirm that BuddyBoss Media 3.1.9 caused the issue. I just deleted 3.1.9 and reloaded 3.1.7 and the problem is gone. I also know that 3.1.8 still worked as I was checking this unstable Ajax search on a daily basis.

Could you send me please BuddyBoss Media 3.1.8 (the last working version, which I don’t have on my Mac) and I will install this until the problem is resolved.

Please talk to the developers about this. I have too many plugins and deactivating probably won’t even do the trick. W3 Cache caused a similar issue with the Ajax search in the past and only completely deleting W3 solved the issue. I am not in a position to deactivate and delete plugins for hours to eventually find the problem. The error link to the BB Media asset folder will give more insight what might be the cause but I don’t know what this particular bbmedia/plupload/moxie.js component means. But this would also help me limiting the search…

Thanks, 3.1.8 also works fine but 3.1.9 suddenly no more dropdown. Strange.
