Forum sort by freshness

Hey, my forums are sorting by latest topic, not freshness, so threads with new replies do not go to the top. Searched online for an answer but apparently the default is it should sort by freshness and if its not then its theme related.

Any help? I’d like topics with most recent replies to be at the top.

Hi @ubrandon, bbp_has_topics can be set using orderby to any of ‘author’, ‘date’, ‘title’, ‘modified’, ‘parent’ or random, you can set arguments in bbp_has_topics inside content-single-forum.php

Thanks Varun – noticed that the orderby is not used in that file, so you guys didn’t make any changes to the sort options in the forums? Is it an error on my part that it isn’t sorted by freshness or is that normal? Am I crazy or should that not be the default? Seems too strange! hah

Hey @ubrandon, you can view there no edits are done there, you can include orderby argument there using child theme approach. You can also try with default themes.
