    Hi guys,

I’m really loving BuddyBoss Inbox. I had been using another plugin to allow message attachments, but having this feature available “in house” – along with the other features the plugin offers – is definitely better. Good work!

I’m using Social Learner and Sensei for courses, and I’m currently using Gravity Forms on selected lesson pages so students can upload assignments for evaluation. It works, but it seems redundant now that BuddyBoss Inbox supports attachments, so I’d prefer to have students use Buddypress private messaging for assignment submissions.

The only thing missing is an elegant way to do it. Sensei’s existing “Contact Teacher” button doesn’t allow for attachments. I could simply add a link in each lesson to the BP profile page and have students message me from there, but that kicks them out of the course with no obvious way back.

What I’m imagining is the ability to setup a Buddypress “Compose Message” form inside a lesson via a shortcode – similar to adding a form with GF. That way, I could use Buddypress messaging for assignment uploads instead of GF without disrupting the flow of the course.

Does that make sense? I’ve searched online for some hacktastic way to do this, but I’ve not found anything. Perhaps it’s a job for BuddyBoss!

I agree the new BuddyBoss Inbox is really useful 🙂

Your idea sounds really interesting. I Would love to hear if this is something that BuddyBoss would be interested in doing?

Perhaps consider some integration with BuddyPress Docs as well if the student is creating the document directly on the Social Learner website?

    Best regards,
    Michael
