    Hey guys,

First off, fantastic theme! We spoke on the phone before purchasing and we finally started dev work on it. A couple things we need help with after some user testing:

    1. Search bar in header – it’s too big and cutting off our main nav. I LOVE the way you did it in the Social Learner. Any chance I can get the updated php and css to accomplish the same in my child theme? We can easily implement.

    2. Blog listings page. My current site has this in a nice masonry grid and I’d like to keep it similar. I noticed someone else using the theme had done this already, just wondering if there’s some code we can implement quickly to accomplish the same as what we have on geekpr0n.com currently.

@nerdnorth Welcome to the BuddyBoss community! There is no updated php just CSS. I don’t have the time to do all the hunting but by using developers tools embeded in your browser you can inspect the elements and grab the CSS.

Perhaps they were using SiteOrigin Page Builder. We have tutorials for stuff like that here: https://www.buddyboss.com/tutorials/

It looks like the whole header in Social Learner is different (not just the search).
I think it’s waaaaay better than the regular Boss theme look, and the minimized search is such a smarter solution.
If this is just a CSS change, I’m not sure of how to grab what I need with just inspect element.

If anyone else has been able to change this, and is willing to share, I’m sure many here would be extremely grateful!

Or…if the BuddyBoss team would be so kind as to offer this look (without the Social Learner stuff) as an alternative child theme to Boss, that would be so awesome!!! 🙂

Speaking of the header menu — any chance it will ever offer sub-menu support? It’s the only thing about this theme that makes it extremely frustrating to work with. The way my site is, most menu items should actually go here (and NOT in the BuddyPanel or pulldown in the upper right corner). But that just means I have the majority of links stuffed into a “…” dropdown, which just looks really silly. :-\
