Question
January 20, 2016 at 4:40 am #56713@pulciano7I go the member types plugin and I was wondering if there was a way to manipulate which tabs show up for each member type such as: Person A having activity tab show by default but Person B having Profile Tab show by default.
If this plugin alone cannot do it, would user role editor or admin menu editor or any other plugin allow me to make this happen?

I will keep in our suggestion list.
You can enable on which specific x-profile fields to display for specific member type.

What I can tell right now is that I can have different member types assigned to different roles but Buddypress will not allow me to change the users profile menu for each type/role? What is the point of member types/roles if the user experience will be the same?
January 29, 2016 at 7:40 am #57532@vapvarunhi @pulciano7, Purpose of the user role to classify members in different groups and display them as separate directory listing. It also have feature to display different set of x-profile fields for each member type
Like for teachers you have have different set of fields and for student you can have student specific fieldsWith Linking option to user roles, you can also put restriction for post/page or any custom port type using membership plugins.
We can also display separate navigation for each member type, but it will need to theme specific customization as well.
