buddypress profile multisite

Hello I have buddyboss on one of my multi sites but not the main site. I want everything dealing with buddypress to populate on a sub site. For example my main site is example.com and my subsite is sub.example.com. I want buddypress on sub.example.com not example.com.

right now i have your theme on the sub.example.com site and would really like for everything to be hosted on your theme but it redirects profiles to the main site example.com.

I am running wordpress multisite but not for individual people having individual sites just different components of 1 big site.
