Buddypress Global Search language issue

Hi BOSS Team,

I’ve installed the buddypress global search plugin (https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/buddypress-global-search) few weeks ago. Everything works fine except some translation issues.

Some weeks ago, I asked the same question in the wordpress forum but no one answered (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/language-issue-9)

I hope that you can help me:

I followed your tutorial https://www.buddyboss.com/tutorials/how-to-set-up-global-search-on-boss-theme/

Language files are saved at wp-content/plugins/buddypress-global-search/languages/buddypress-global-search-de_DE.po (as well as mo)
all phrases are translated in german, however not all are displayed in german in the frontend such as
groups
posts
members
forums

Other Phrases in that po/mo file such as
“loading suggestions” are displayed in german language

Can you give me any hint where to look or where the problem might be?

We have the latest and completely translated version for buddypress, bbpress as well as for our BOSS Theme (https://www.buddyboss.com/tutorials/ ; caption 2.6)

Hi @vapvarun,

Just a friendly bump as I’ve come across the same issue.
Everything is translating just fine, with the exception of the front end search results bar.

Can you please advise how we can fix this ourselves if the devs have not gotten around to it yet.

Hi @rickh,

We have pushed an update yesterday which was a quick maintenance update for marketplace. Auto suggestion terms need to be fixed again which are generating from buddypress-global-search.js

Hi Varun,

Thank you for your reply.
I’m not sure I completely follow, I’ve looked at the .js but was unable to locate any string which I can amend.
Can you please advise how to go about and change those .js generated fields, so I may adjust.
