The obvious links to put in the BuddyPanel menu on the left for logged in users are friends, messages, notifications, profile, settings, log out. One demo video explains how to add these personalised links.

All of these links also appear in the My Profile menu on the right.

This is fine on a large screen because a site owner can emphasise these features and offer two ways of reaching them.

But on a small screen, what you then have is two almost identical looking fly-out menus (left and right) both showing the same six links (amongst other links, if you so choose).

    Seems a bit odd…

@tintomatoes the right menu is the WordPress toolbar. There are plugins to remove links from this toolbar to reduce duplicate links in your menus.

Thanks, good to know. It would be useful to have the inbuilt ability to show a different BuddyPanel menu for mobile screen sizes than for normal screen sizes. The nature of this theme is that it’s essential to have this feature in order to avoid duplicate links.

@tintomatoes this isn’t a very common request so I am unable to add this to the request list. But I think when you find the plugin it’ll be just what you are looking for.

Ok thanks, but I reiterate that out of the box the menus need customisation to avoid duplicate links.
