Author link on custom post types

Hi @tjchester,

I have these custom post types for my users to upload. I have made a separated singe and content templates for them.
How do I make the author link (at the top of the post) – go to the user’s profile instead to the WP archives by author (since wp does not see the custom posts)?
I would like to attach the same link as in the comments section- you know when you press on the user’s name in the comments under the posts- you go to his profile.

I found this code <?php echo bp_core_get_userlink( $post->post_author ) ?>, but where would it go? I only want the custom posts to link to profile.

@milena I’m really not sure. This is all custom territory here sorry. Might want to check with BuddyPress support.
