Question
February 10, 2015 at 9:50 am #35750@digital-porchHello again, I just updated to Boss 1.0.4 and i still have the same issues as before…
1. The add photo feature is still not working.
2. The show updates, everything not working.
3. No add photo button on my wall
4. cannot update cover photo
5. On the activity page, there is register in black letters, it wasn’t there before
6. On members page, there is members in black letters, it wasn’t there before
I can kinda live with that for now.
*BUT*
When I’m in customizer, EVERYTHING works, add photo, add photo button in on my wall, show updates, everything. I can change and update cover photo, It all functions properly. Is this a glitch? and will it be fixed with the upcoming general release? and all these are done in the child theme. I hope this is enough information so your developers and correct these issues. I have already deleted and reinstalled via FTP and no change in results. I will leave the new theme up today so you can look at it.Thank you for your time in this matter.

AlyssaParticipant@digital-porch disable your minify plugin. In fact, try disabling ALL plugins except BuddyPress and BuddyBoss. Let me know which issues still exist after you do that.
February 10, 2015 at 1:42 pm #35773@digital-porchHello TJ,
Here is and update. i deactivated all plugins except for bb and bp. then one by one activated each plugin then checked the page until i found the culprit. once i deactivated all plugins everything worked. so bottom line the plugin that was causing ALL my problems was (W3 Total Cache) and i don’t know why, so please pass this along to your developers. Also can you recommend s good cache plugin that is compatible with boss.
so right now all is good.
thank you for your time, and please pass this along to others who might be having similar issues.Andrew

AlyssaParticipant@digital-porch please see our tutorial here: https://www.buddyboss.com/tutorials/caching-buddypress/
The problem is you can’t cache BuddyPress pages. They are too dynamic for you to be able to cache them. This causes the majority of conflicts. Furthermore, you shouldn’t use caching unless your site absolutely requires it. If you only have a few hundred users no worries. It’s only one you get a TON of users you should look into caching and private servers. etc. Let me know if you still have issues after following the tutorial.
