Activity Page not working when updated

After updating the theme to 4.0.6 all our Custom Ajax functionality had gone. Also when selecting my frieda etc it would redirect to page 404.

Way round this was to switch off the Activity-Auto-Refresh in the buddy press settings.

Deleted all plugins to try to find a conflict but this doesn’t seem to have solved the problem.

It seems to be something to do with the wp-heart beat? Please help??

when the automatic activity stream updates is active (this uses (wordpress heartbeat api). The buddypress.js, query-cookie.js, and the buddypress ajax.php is not loaded correctly.

Im also using wp-engine if this helps

@rob72 Do you have some files cached with wp-engine? Try resetting permalinks? This is not normal behavior, to see a 404 when clicking My Friends on activity page. We’re not overriding buddypress.js in the newer versions of BuddyBoss (4.0+).

Have reset the permalinks, and no change… its clear that the issue is the buddypress.js file fails to be included and the buddy press ajax function stop working. No ajax results in the 404 page
