How to Use the BuddyBoss Publishing Service

The BuddyBoss Publishing Service helps you publish your mobile app to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Our Publishing Team reviews your app and store listing information, provides recommendations to help meet app store requirements, and manages the submission process on your behalf.

The service includes:

• Pre-Submission Review: A dedicated member of our Publishing Team reviews your app and store listing information and recommends any changes needed before submission.
• App Store Submission: Once your app passes our internal review, our team submits your Release build to Apple or Google for approval.
• Review Communication: If additional information or changes are required, our team can manage communication with Apple or Google and help you address their feedback.

Before You Begin

Before submitting a publishing request, make sure you have finalized your app customizations and prepared the required screenshots for your white-label app.

You must also complete the publishing checklist for the app store where you want to publish your app.

Note: The video tutorials are being updated to reflect the current requirements and interfaces of Apple and Google. In the meantime, refer to the available PDF instructions for additional assistance.

Publish Your iOS App

Before submitting your iOS publishing request, complete the Apple App Store Publishing Checklist.

Access the Publishing Service

In your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to BuddyBoss App > Publishing Service > Apple App Store.

Submit Your iOS Publishing Request

1. Complete the Publishing Checklist questionnaire and click Confirm.
2. Select Yes for each checklist requirement once you have completed it.
3. Under Build Version, select the iOS Release App build you want to publish.
4. Click Confirm Build.
5. Review the App Store Version and click Confirm Version.
6. If any required information is missing, update it in App Store Connect, then return to BuddyBoss and click Check Again.
7. Under Review Options, choose whether you want the BuddyBoss Publishing Team to manage communication with Apple or handle the communication yourself.
8. Click Submit for Review.

Once submitted, our Publishing Team will review your request and prepare your app for submission to Apple.

Important: Only iOS Release App builds can be submitted through the Publishing Service. Make sure your app version is fully prepared in App Store Connect before submitting your request.

Note: Avoid making changes to your app or version information in App Store Connect while your publishing request is in progress, unless requested by the BuddyBoss Publishing Team.

Publish Your Android App

Before submitting your Android publishing request, complete the Google Play Store Publishing Checklist.

Access the Publishing Service

In your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to BuddyBoss App > Publishing Service > Google Play Store.

Submit Your Android Publishing Request

1. Complete the Publishing Checklist questionnaire and click Confirm.
2. Select Yes for each checklist requirement once you have completed it.
3. Under Build Version, select the Android Release App build you want to publish.
4. Click Confirm Build.

Important: Only Android Release App builds can be submitted through the Publishing Service.

Enter Your Google Play Details

1. Under Google Play Details, enter your Google Developer Account ID.
2. To locate your Account ID, log in to Google Play Console.
3. Navigate to Settings > Developer account > Account details.
4. Click Copy ID and paste it into the Developer ID field in BuddyBoss.
5. Review your Release Name and Release Notes.
6. Click Confirm Details.
7. Under Review Options, choose whether you want the BuddyBoss Publishing Team to manage communication with Google or handle the communication yourself.
8. Click Submit for Review.

Once submitted, our Publishing Team will review your request and prepare your Android app for submission to Google Play.

Note: The Release Name and Release Notes will be used for your app’s Production release. Avoid changing your app or release information in Google Play Console while your publishing request is in progress, unless requested by our team.

Respond to Recommended Changes

After submitting your publishing request, the BuddyBoss Publishing Team will provide updates through email.

If our team identifies changes needed before submission, you will receive an email explaining the recommended adjustments.

To respond:

1. In your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to BuddyBoss App > Publish > Apple App Store or BuddyBoss App > Publish > Google Play Store, depending on your request.
2. Under Have you made the recommended changes?, select one of the following:
   • Yes, please review the changes: Select this if you have completed the recommended updates and want our team to review them.
   • No, please submit to Apple/Google with the current information: Select this if you prefer to proceed without making the recommended changes.
3. Under Do you want to change the build version?, select:
   • Yes: If the changes require a new build, then select the updated build version.
   • No: If the changes do not require a new build.
4. Click Submit Response.

Our Publishing Team will review your response and proceed with the next steps.

Note: Choosing to submit your app without completing the recommended changes may increase the likelihood of rejection by Apple or Google.

Respond to Apple and Google Review Feedback

After your app is submitted, Apple or Google will review it against their respective app store requirements.

If your app is rejected or requires additional information, you will receive an email explaining the review feedback and any necessary changes.

If you selected the option for BuddyBoss to manage app store communication, our Publishing Team will:

1. Review the feedback provided by Apple or Google.
2. Respond to the app store review team on your behalf.
3. Notify you if additional information or changes are required.
4. Coordinate the necessary updates and resubmission process.

If you selected the option to manage communication yourself, you will be responsible for responding to the app store review team.

Important: Apple and Google make the final decisions regarding app approval. While the BuddyBoss Publishing Service helps prepare and submit your app, approval and review timelines cannot be guaranteed.
