Friends and followers links give empty page

Hi,

I just purchase BP wall plugin. I have a weird issue though. Links for friends and followers are not working. Link for following is working.

Behaviour:
– Links are working for not logged in users but they are generated after 8 seconds!!. Normal without the plugin is 1 seconds.
– When user is logged in links are giving an empty page after a while.

Investigation so far:
– Activated / deactivated plugin network and single site.- no change
– Deactivated all plugins but buddypress and wall – no change
– I use KLEO theme and no compatibility complains. Remove functions.php on child – no change
– No php errors observed.
– WP and BP are only one version behind.

Currently plugin is deactivated.
Any idea where to look further?

Php errors also received when click on friends link. (user has to have more than 30 friends/followers to generate a blanc page):

It is not a theme issue. By using other themes it is also not working
It is not a plugin issue. Have only BP and BP wall plugin activated also not working.

It sounds like a bug.

@giorgos have you tried disabling all plugin and checking functionality?
Have you also tried changing to another theme other than Kleo to check if it works?

Yes, @tjchester , Varun is taking care, but no identification of the issue yet. The latest info from Varun:

I am going to forward issue to developer , at present we do not have a proper solution on the issue, because issue is still a mystery , let me replicate it once at their end.

i had spent time on that, and also recreated that on my server as well , not getting a clear issue on that as it is not reflecting for all users. Will try to resolve it completely today

So I see this is a tough one. I have from day one disabled all plugins, used other themes and nothing.

Again this occurs only on popular members with +- 20 friends. It throws the php Fatal error. (you can observe the error at the page source, last line). php memory increase also didn’t help.

Members with a couple of friends is fine.

Do you mean to say it works with plugins disabled or it does NOT work with plugins disabled.
Does the issue exist when using another theme?

@tjchester, I mean that with all plugins disabled (except wall and buddypress) and another theme, issue still exists. (see also initial post)

Just to let you know , that if you dont see the Fatal error in the source anymore is because I added w3 total cache plugin. Now is doesn’t draw a partial page with a fatal error mentioned in source (memory size) but a complete blank page.

@giorgos ok, just wanted to make sure nothing simple was over-looked. I’ll have to let Varun take care of this via email. If he has not responded lately please email him again for an update but it may take some time if it requires an escalation to the developers.
