We use roots’ bedrock https://roots.io/bedrock/docs/ as our wordpress stack.

Part of this means following modern development best-practices like installing WP in a subfolder and moving wp-content out of the wordpress core directory and renaming it to “app” which helps separate concerns.

One issue we expected when doing this was that some developers do not follow best practices and use dynamic paths when looking for wp-content but hard code the path or name.

It looks like BuddyBoss Media might be one of those as we just installed it and tried to update and got

“An error occurred while updating BuddyBoss Media: Unable to locate WordPress Content directory (wp-content).”

Do you guys have any plan to fix this or can you recommend a workaround for now?

We really need this plugin to get moving. Otherwise, we’re going to have to move back to Rtmedia.

@m33 try to update manually, I assume you tried the auto update. Can you explain exactly how you came to the error, I’ll forward this information to the developers to try and correct the issue moving forward.
