    Hi guys,

I hope that you are doing well. I know that you are busy working on updates for Social Learner but I was wondering if you plan to make the theme compatible with the sticky widget plugin (Q2W3 – https://wordpress.org/plugins/q2w3-fixed-widget/). It is an older plugin but there doesn’t seem to be a replacement for it yet. It is quite important to have this feature to make the sidebar more usable.

I would also be interested to know of other plugins that add the sticky sidebar capability to Social Learner?

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards,
    Michael

    Hi there,

The Q2W3 Fixed Widget (Sticky Widget) plugin is not even work well with few WordPress core themes, however I’ve passed it to our dev team to check out the issue.

    Have a great day!

    Hi @paresh,

Thanks for the quick response. I know that it hasn’t been updated for about 2 years so I am looking for an alternative plugin. Here are a few potential alternatives that I found today:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/standard-widget-extensions/ ($0)
    http://codecanyon.net/item/theia-sticky-sidebar-for-wordpress/5150066 ($18)

I don’t know if either can replace the functionality or if they are compatible with SL?

    Best regards,
    Michael

    Hi again,

I checked both plugins Q2W3 Fixed Widget (Sticky Widget) and Standard Widget Extensions, and Q2W3 Fixed Widget (Sticky Widget) seems more promising. However, I couldn’t check the Theia Sticky Sidebar for WordPress plugin since it is paid version.

We may add support for Sticky Widget in the future but for now, You would consequently need to edit the Q2W3 Fixed Widget (Sticky Widget) plugin’s code to make it work with Social Learner.

    Hi @paresh,

Thanks for checking out the plugins. As I don’t want to spend my time coding too much I continue to look for an alternative. Here is one more possible solution for anyone interested:

Here is one more I found. Looks more promising but I will need to check if it’s compatible with SL:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/sticky-menu-or-anything-on-scroll/

Alternatively, I will likely need to dig into the code:

    Best regards,
