Question
March 28, 2015 at 4:31 pm #38132@petertuckerHey everyone, I’m looking at purchasing the Boss. theme. I had a few questions before I do.
1. Do I need the media plugin to upload images to forum portion of a site?
2. Do I need the media plugin to upload the fb-ish cover photos?
3. Can the Boss. theme be easily integrated with myCred or Badges Plugins?
4. Can you disable editing the profile name and editing the avatar photo?
5. Any coupon codes available?
6. If the theme doesn’t fit our needs what is the refund policy on themes & plugins? Thanks everyone. 🙂

AlyssaParticipant@petertucker Welcome to the BuddyBoss community!
1) Yes, but only in the groups portion, you may need to download a bbPress plugin to upload media to the forums
2) Nope, that is integrated into the theme 🙂
3) Yup, several users use myCred, I think badges as well but less certain on that one.
4) What do you mean by profile name? We could give you some code to disable avatars.
5) Sorry, no coupon codes.
6) Full refund within 30 days of purchase if the theme or plugin is not functioning correctly.March 28, 2015 at 8:38 pm #38152@petertuckerHey TJ, thanks for the quick response. Also a heads up, looks like someone changed the main cover pic in the demo to an adult photo. I changed it for you to a forest photo. You might want to figure out a way to monitor that.
1. Would you be able to provide a screenshot of where the image uploader is needed regarding Groups. We’re looking at only a sitewide forum so I don’t believe we need this functionality.
4. For the profile name I meant where the users edit their profile names. I’ve attached a few screenshots for clarification. My project requires the user to not be able to change their username, and for the user’s avatar to be updated internally(think profile pic based on ranking system).
Thanks again for your time, and looking forward to using the Boss. Theme.

AlyssaParticipant@petertucker thanks for the heads up on the demo.
1) This is the plugin you would need to download for forum attachemnts/media: https://wordpress.org/plugins/gd-bbpress-attachments/
4) Here is a link to code for that issue: http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-restrict-usernames-and-disable-nicknames-in-wordpress/
I can also help you further after purchase if you have any issues 🙂March 29, 2015 at 2:23 pm #38185@petertuckerAwesome TJ. I appreciate the help. I’m going to purchase Boss and start playing with it today. Thanks again!

March 29, 2015 at 3:10 pm #38188@petertuckerHey TJ, another heads up. I just checked the notification area and I’m seeing a bug in the UI. When in the notifications area the titles are missing for the messages. When you resize to mobile mode they then appear. Is this a front facing issue in the current version of Boss Theme?
I’m using Firefox 36.0.4 on Desktop. OSX 10.9.5
See the attached screenshot for details. 2nd Screenshot is mobile. Hope that helps.

March 29, 2015 at 10:32 pm #38203@petertuckerHey TJ,
Not to bombard you but I found another CSS error in the Profile page too. The Icon Menu bar is shifted upwards, along with the cover photo shadow. Looks fine on mobile however.Found in Firefox 36.0.4 on Desktop. OSX 10.9.5

AlyssaParticipant@petertucker thanks for the reports. There were somes previous reports of FF issues that were resolved including the message issue. Perhaps it was only fixed in the Windows FF and the issue persists because you are using OSX. Either way the devs will investigate a permanent fix.
March 30, 2015 at 12:08 pm #38238@petertuckerHey TJ,
I think I might have found another bug. On the user’s profile page I get thrown an error, “imagesLoaded is not defined”.Line 902 in buddyboss.js
Error occurs on Desktop and Mobile(I’m using iPhone 5C). The error breaks the javascript for that page, disabling sliding menus, the swiper menu, and other js functionality. All the other sections(Notifications, Messages, Friends, etc) do not throw this error.
I’ve added a screenshot for the error.
March 30, 2015 at 12:17 pm #38240@petertuckerFurther investigation shows on the profile page a large chunk of the code isn’t being loaded(which includes a bunch of js imports). The section #item-body, for some reason, is completely missing.
I’ve added a screenshot. Thanks again.
March 30, 2015 at 1:11 pm #38242@petertuckerThe profile breakage seems to coming from the BuddyPress Settings when you disable Extended Profiles. Is there anyway to disable Extended Profiles and still have the javascript functionality of the page?
Also for question 4 above, the fix you gave me, was not able to fix the change username option.
I’ve put the fix in function.php in the boss-child theme, but there seems to be no change. I’ve attached a screenshot.March 31, 2015 at 1:06 am #38270@

Once you get the next update (soon) you will be able to safely re-enable Extended Profiles. Bug was coming from our social fields code.
