Plugin demo not working

I’m cautious about using the Media plugin on my site as I’m not convinced it’s a stable solution – the BB demo site confirms this for me.

Press Add Photo, Choose an Action box is displayed, browse Gallery, select a photo and more often than not I’m returned back to the Choose an Action box to select the photo source again.

5th time lucky, I see the percentage indicator. I choose not to add the image but I did notice there’s no Cancel button for users?

HTC One X, Android 4.2, Chrome

My question is whether this plugin is ever likely to be stable? I appreciate the multitude of devices make this difficult, but I bought BB in February, and it’s never worked as intended.

I’m growing slightly concerned over what seems to be a growth in the number of reported issues with BB in general (seen on these forums).

Hey Paul,

Sorry we have had some bugs with the plugin releases. The theme is quite stable now (bugs reported are very minor) but the plugins do have some significant bugs that we are working hard to fix. Our main problem is a shortage of developer time and we’re currently looking to staff up, so we can dedicate more time to developing plugins and fixing bugs in them. Thanks for your patience.

Hi Michael, hopefully you’re able to expand the team. The Media plugin probably isn’t a big issue for me but it would be nice to see it working without error approx. 9 months after I bought the theme. iOS seems to be the big issue, but I’ve personally had persistent issues with Android/Chrome from day one. I couldn’t put it on a live site in good faith. The Wall plugin is great, and much more relevant for the site I’m putting together. Love the Super Mobile theme as well – had a test of that on an iPad last night, will be buying before Sunday, very slick.

Yes, working on it. The Media plugin is using a pretty well tested open source uploader script, but even then, still has some hiccups with various mobile browsers. Working on it. Glad you like the Wall plugin and Super Mobile.

@michael In terms of Android, I’ve only use BB Media with Chrome since that’s the only browser BB works with – the menu buttons don’t work with anything else. Hopefully the theme can be as stable as it was again soon.

@style960 Mobile uploads in mobile Chrome should be working in 1.0.7, available now. I was able to reproduce the bug, and confirm the solution as working.
