Notifications/ Menu bar

Are there any plans to include a better notifications/menu bar in this theme? I like how messages and notifications are split in the OneSocial theme.

How would one go about implementing your own menu replacing the admin bar?

Thank you! It would be such a huge improvement over the current admin bar.

I’ve been trying to find other help topics on this so I could try to figure out something myself, but haven’t found any.

The more you can make it like Facebook the better because that’s what people understand intuitively.

Hi @acroyes sorry there are no plans to include better notifications/menu bar in the BuddyBoss theme at present.

Hopefully we will reconsider some work in near future.

We may do this at some point in the future, but it’s not on the current schedule. Every new feature takes time and there are other higher priority requests at the moment. It’s a hard thing to implement yourself as it requires a fair amount of custom development, it’s not how BuddyPress does things naturally.
