I am trying to create a WPMU deployment or basically to be more clear, I have 3 families that want to use the Boss. theme to create a Family Social Network. Rather than install WP plus Boss plus BP 3x, I was thinking MultiSite would be a good fit and allow me to have one codebase for WordPress .. but is everything isolated? Ex: If I create a New Site (Smith Family) and invite an Admin, can that sub-site have Registration Enabled while another “Jones Family” does not? Seems Member Lists are shown at the parent level with all users, regardless of site, so content isn’t separated? Just trying to determine if I want separation completely, should I just have isolated WP installs moving forward or is it worth trying to gain that functionality out of a MultiSite deployment. Thanks!

@natemcmullin WPMU works like this. You create a network main site. Let’s call it xyz.com. All site admins will create a user on that main domain. Then each of them will get a sub domain or root domain depending on your setup. (Ie. Family1.xyz.com) Then each family member will create a user on the sub sites. This user may link membership to the other sub sites but is not required. You may want to contact WordPress for more information.
