Does Boss+Buddypress support hashtags in the activity stream by default?

Or do I have to use this plugin that is over 2 years old?

@johnny hashtags are not a feature of any BuddyBoss products. HashBuddy would be my recommendation, I believe some other BuddyBoss users have successfully implemented it with our products.

@tjchester fyi i have had HashBuddy running on all my test sites since we started testing this product and at no point did it ever cause an issue

I’m using Hashbuddy, but when you click on the hashtag it brought up a very strange result (see screenshot). It seems to be a bunch of comments from our site that don’t actually contain the hashtag or word.

We just launched a new initiative relying on the hashtags, so I’d appreciate quick help or advice on this if possible…

Any thoughts?

hi @bryceevans, Sorry we do not support hashbuddy. BuddyPress current version also do not work with Hashbuddy.
You can also test it with default wp theme and without BP global search.

At present you are getting some results due to BP global search, else you will get 404 page.
