@optimystic don’t let the plugin strip EXIF data, there should be an option for that.

Through extensive testing I found the surface level problem (not sure the backend lingo on this). The conflict is between Imsanity and the mobile image rotator in BB Media. When I deactivate “Enable fix for mobile uploads rotating” with Imsanity enabled, Imsanity handles the rotation of the image for desktop accurately, but the mobile uploading is a mess.

So I think Imsanity is doing its job accurately, the problem ends up stemming from the mobile rotation feature in BuddyBoss. I have had to choose one or the other and reluctantly have to keep BB mobile image rotator active and rid of Imsanity. Now I am back needing a solution to reduce the image size of uploads :(.

Thanks and if there’s any way BB can contribute to the marriage of BB Media and Imsanity that would be great.

OR- better yet, maybe BB Media could look into image reduction functionality native to the plugin?
