Introduction
The My Connections Widget displays the list of connections (friends) that a logged-in user has made on your platform. Adding this widget helps users quickly access their connections, encouraging more interaction and community engagement.
Adding and Configuring the Widget
- Go to Appearance > Widgets in your WordPress Dashboard.
- Select the widget area where you want the connections list to appear (e.g., Activity Directory Left).
- Click the + icon and search for My Connections.

- Add the My Connections Widget to the selected area.
- Set the Max Connections to Show (this defines how many connections will be displayed).
- Click Update to save your changes.

Note: This widget will only appear if the member has existing connections on the platform.
Verifying the Widget
- Go to the Activity Feed on the frontend.
- The My Connections Widget will appear in the sidebar (e.g., left side of the Activity Directory) as My Connections, displaying the user’s connections based on your configuration.

Troubleshooting and FAQs
Q: The widget isn’t showing on my sidebar.
A: The widget only appears if the member has at least one connection. Ensure that the user has made some connections before checking.
Q: Can I control how many connections appear?
A: Yes. You can set the Max Connections to Show value in the widget settings.
Q: Can I display another user’s connections?
A: No. The My Connections Widget only displays the connections of the currently logged-in user.
