Introduction
The Blog Posts App Block lets you feature selected WordPress blog posts in your BuddyBoss App pages with a swipeable carousel. Users can tap a post to view its content or See All to open the full blog index. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to add the block, customize its title and background, apply filters or pick specific posts, and preview its appearance.

Opening the App Page Editor
- In your WordPress Dashboard, go to BuddyBoss App > App Pages.
- Edit the App Page where you want to add the blog block.
Adding the Blog Posts Block
- Click the + icon to insert a new block.
- Scroll to the BuddyBoss App Blocks section and select Blog Posts.
- Drag the block to your preferred position on the page.
Customizing the Block Title and Background
- In the block’s Settings panel, change the Title from Blog to your desired label (e.g., Latest News).
- Choose a Background Color or leave it Transparent.
Filtering by Criteria
- Under Content Source, select Filter Posts.
- Use the filters to refine:
- Order By: Newest or Alphabetical
- Sort Direction: Ascending or Descending
- Sticky Posts: Include, Exclude, or Only Sticky
- Categories/Tags: Enter comma-separated slugs
- Authors: Enter comma-separated usernames
- Date: Choose from dates containing posts
- Items to Show: Set carousel size
- Order By: Newest or Alphabetical
Selecting Specific Posts
- In Content Source, switch to Specific Posts.
- Click Select Posts and choose the exact posts to appear.
Saving and Previewing
- Click Update on your App Page.
- Force-close and reopen the BuddyBoss App on your device.
- Navigate to the configured page and swipe through the Blog Posts carousel.
- Tap See All to verify it links to your full blog index.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Q: The Blog Posts block doesn’t appear in the app.
A: Ensure you clicked Update on the App Page, then force-close and reopen the BuddyBoss App to load the new block.
Q: Filters aren’t applying correctly.
A: Verify your category/tag slugs and author usernames are accurate, and that the chosen date has published posts.
Q: I can’t select specific posts.
A: Switch Content Source to Specific Posts, then use the multi-select interface to choose your desired entries.
Q: Carousel size is too small or large.
A: Adjust the Items to Show setting in the block’s filters to increase or decrease visible slides.
Q: “See All” link is missing.
A: Confirm the Blog Posts block is placed at least one full carousel’s worth of posts; the See All link appears whenever posts exist.
