How to Enable and Use the Report a Bug Feature in the BuddyBoss App

Introduction

The Report a Bug feature lets your members submit bug reports complete with text descriptions, attachments, and device details—directly from the BuddyBoss App. By enabling this feature, you ensure that issues are captured quickly and sent to the appropriate inbox for faster resolution.

Configure the Report a Bug Feature

Enable Bug Reporting

  1. In your Dashboard, go to BuddyBoss App > Settings > Feedback.
  2. Tick the Report a Bug checkbox to activate the feature in the app interface.

Set the Feedback Email

  1. In the Bug Report Email field, enter the email address where reports should be sent.
  2. (Optional) If you leave this blank, the system uses your Administration Email Address from WordPress.
  3. In the Email Subject field, enter a default subject line for incoming bug reports.

Submit a Bug Report from the App

  1. On your mobile device, open the BuddyBoss App and tap Settings.
  2. Tap Report a Bug to open the report form.
  3. Enter your description of the issue.
  4. (Optional) Tap Upload Image or Video to attach screenshots or videos.
  5. Tap Send to submit your report.

Now check the email that you have entered in the Report a Bug setting. It will show you the following information-

  • Message
  • Apple ID
  • Platform 
  • App Version
  • iOS Version
  • Device Model
  • Email Address of the user

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Q: I didn’t receive the bug report email, what should I check?
A: Verify that the Bug Report Email field is correct in BuddyBoss App > Settings > Feedback. If it’s blank, check your WordPress Administration Email Address.
