How to Configure On-screen Notifications

Introduction

On-Screen Notifications in BuddyBoss help to drive engagement by alerting members of new notifications while they are browsing your site. This feature enhances user experience by providing real-time updates without the need for page refreshes. 

Enable On-Screen Notifications

  1. Navigate to BuddyBoss > Settings > Notifications from your Dashboard.
  2. Mark the checkbox for Enable on-screen notifications.
    • This allows notifications to pop up on the screen when members receive updates.
  3. Set the position of the notifications to Bottom Right for optimal visibility.
  4. Click Save Settings to apply the changes.

Verify Notification Position

Once enabled, the on-screen notifications will appear at the Bottom Right side of your website whenever a member receives a new notification.

Enable Mobile Support

To enhance user experience on mobile devices:

  1. In the Notifications settings, check the box for Mobile Support.

Configure Additional Notification Settings

For a more dynamic and engaging notification experience, configure the following options:

  • Automatically Hide Notifications
    1. Set a timer for notifications to hide automatically after a few seconds.
    2. This ensures that notifications don’t obstruct the user’s view for too long.

    1. In the Notifications settings, check the box for Show in the Browser Tab.
    2. Click Save Settings to apply the changes.

Q: Why aren’t the on-screen notifications appearing?
