Introduction
Currently, approved or live BuddyBoss apps display English (“EN”) as their language localization in the App Store—even when they’re set to German, Dutch, or another language. This guide explains the issue and what to expect.
Issue Details
- When an app goes live, App Store Connect shows its localization as “EN.”
- This occurs regardless of the customer’s chosen localization settings (e.g., DE, NL).
Default Behavior
- English is currently the default localization for all BuddyBoss apps in the App Store.
- There is no manual override available in App Store Connect at this time.
Next Steps
- Our development team is aware of this behavior.
- A fix will be included in an upcoming BuddyBoss App update.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Q: Does this affect the app’s in‑app language?
A: No. The app itself will still display in the customer’s chosen language. Only the App Store listing shows “EN.”
Q: Can I manually change the displayed localization now?
A: Not until the forthcoming update. For now, customers will see “EN” even if other localizations are published.
Q: Will existing users notice any difference?
A: No. This only affects the App Store metadata display, not the user experience inside the app.
