Recent buddypress update hiding whats-new-options?

Hello, I have lost my post buttons since the most recent buddypress update. I have seen reported an issue with buddypress activity privacy, but I have deactivated this and still have the display: none; error hiding the whats-new-options area. Is this an theme issue?

@leighgregg you need to click on the postarea and the buttons should appear automatically. Honestly I think BuddyPress should allow an option to disable this functionality. We will work on a fix.

Couldnt agree more. It will have probably caused alot of people issues. The fanciness of a button showing or not really doesnt interest me. If they want to stop people posting without text..there are better ways. It is an unessecary development as far as I can see. A step backwards almost. Thanks.

Hi @leighgregg, you can add following custom css to display post button visible all time

#buddypress #whats-new-options { display: block !important; }
