Query custom profile field

I would like to query a custom profile field. I have added the field Specialization where my users can pick a specialization, like Photography, Design, etc. I want to create a overview page from all uploaded media. Any tips on how to get this into a query? When I click on the Specialization from the profile page it starts a search like /members/?s=Photography but I want to modify a template to show only media by Specialization.
