Notifications instead of Email

Hi Guys,

Has anyone been able to provide an alternative for the emails being sent when someone is mentioned in Buddypress?
I’d like to be able to have user opt-in to notifications on the site, rather then spam them with emails.

Any help would be much appreciated!

@rickh, try looking in the “emails” section of Buddypress in your website backend. You’ll see all the email templates that BP sends, and their respective triggers. If you simply move them to the trash, they should be disabled. If you ever want to reactivate them, simply move them back out of the trash.

Not sure about user opt-in, however.
