I tried to add sidebar widgets on the Activity | Members | Groups | Forums | Sites BuddyPress/Boss pages but couldn’t do it, so I decided to put them on Full-Width template pages, but they still show a blank space on the right as if they support widgets OR they don´t work full-width.
Any fix or suggestions?
Thx, Donald.November 14, 2011 at 1:33 am #9994

@donmcint are you trying to add under the Group Directory or Group widget to get them to work? Appearance > WidgetsNovember 15, 2011 at 5:56 am #9997
I have widgets on both Group Directory and Group widget, they show perfectly on Group Directory, but not on the Group page as you might have seen.
Also I want to put widgets on the Activity, Members and Sites pages, but there seems not to be widget areas there on Appearence > Widgets. This OK if the theme does not support that, but the alternative then is to make them Full-Width pages instead of having a big blank space on the right of these pages.
As I wrote before, I chose the Full-Width template when creating these pages (Activity, Members, Groups, and Sites), but they show like default-template pages with a big blank sidebar area on the right.
All of these sidebars with widgets pages work and are fine:
1. Activity Directory
2. Members Directory
3. Groups Directory
4. Forums Directory and Forum widgets
5. Sites Directory
All these sidebar/widget/full-width-template pages do not work, and show with a big blank right/sidebar/widget area:
Thx for the help and hope to hear from you with a possible fix,

@donmcint we use custom templates for buddyboss.com sorry. If you want full-width templates please go into Pages>All Pages select Activity and change the template on the right side menu to Full-width. Hope this helps!November 16, 2011 at 2:00 am #10000
Are you kidding me?
I have repeated several times above that I have used the Full-width template and it DOES NOT work. The Activity and other BuddyPress pages were created with full and default templates on my site so thet is the basis of this whole topic in this forum.
EITHER I CAN PUT WIDGETS ON THE PAGES OR I CAN USE FULL-WIDTH PAGES, BUT NONE ARE HAPPENING ON MY BUDDYBOSS SITE.
Do you have it clear now?
Can you please come with a solution please? (instead of sub-nominally express that I am doing something wrong?)
PS: I am eventually going to leave BuddyBoss and pass to another theme, the Customer service is very bad, and it has been always.November 17, 2011 at 1:19 am #10001
@donmcint I am a user on your website, please give my user (tjchester) admin privileges and I will look into your issue. Also please tell me the exact link you would like to have the sidebar work. Also, tell me the exact link you would like full-width that does not work. Thank you.November 17, 2011 at 1:35 am #10002
Done you are SuperAdmin of the Multisite and the main site (ID 1) is BuddyBoss Theme.
The pages where I would like to have a sidebar are:
If it is not possible to have a sidebar on these pages then these same pages should be able to be full-width.

@donmcint since you translated you forgot to add the SLUG changes to wp-config.php
You will need to define each slug like this example for groups:
define ( ‘BP_GROUPS_SLUG’, ‘grupos’ );
BuddyPress does not know which page is which without the SLUGS defined when changed. Please let me know if this solves your issue since I can not edit your wp-config.php fileNovember 17, 2011 at 3:16 am #10004
I did change the slugs in wp-config.com many days ago:
define ( ‘BP_ACTIVITY_SLUG’, ‘muro’ );
define ( ‘BP_BLOGS_SLUG’, ‘sitios’ );
define ( ‘BP_MEMBERS_SLUG’, ‘miembros’ );
define ( ‘BP_GROUPS_SLUG’, ‘grupos’ );
define ( ‘BP_REGISTER_SLUG’, ‘registrate’ );
define ( ‘BP_ACTIVATION_SLUG’, ‘activar’ );
Maybe it has to be updated somewhere else.

@donmcint the full-width is dependent on the BP_SLUG, I can change your site to work but it will be a hack. Please let me know if you want me to go in and fix this for you.November 19, 2011 at 1:03 am #10007
Justo for you to know, I took out all the widgets from the Directory pages and now show as full-width, but if I set them as “predetermined” on the template area they don´t show the widgets.
Thx, for you offer above, but I prefer not to hack, I already hacked a lot!!!!
