    hi guys

    Anyone know the best method with BB to ensure that members details can only be viewed after a login?

    That is on the member search page and profile page also – ie get a ‘you must login message’ like in the forums when wanting to posty a reply…..

    Derek I have found that by using xProfile (plugin) with Profile Privacy plugin you can set users so they can only see profile data when logged in.

    PROFIL PRIVACY NOOTTTTT WORK WITH BUDDYPRESS 1. 5 !!!!!

    @frank I have success with xprofile to work with profile privacy, though this must be set by the admin NOT the user.

    That makes my crazy !

    OK , let´s start from the beginning:

    On the Version 1.2.3 there wars no problem. I had install the profil privacy plugin and yes, i know, there are settings on the profilpage where admin just choose if the member can choose ….
    All right and works.

    Now, in the new Version from BuddyPress i try now the five´s time to install the profil privacy plugin.
    OK – i can install , but there are no admin options, nowere, not in the dashboard on the lef, and not on the profil-site from buddypress !

    Please tell me , where you found the settings for the profil-privacy plugin ?????

    This make´s me crazy !

    give me a bit to find the fix, its hard when the plugins are no longer supported

    NO, this is not what i mean

    i need a plugin like the profile privacy plugin – this is the only on the market how let user choose which field others can see or not ….
