@askwpcoach some plugins do not play nicely with the BuddyBoss theme. One known conflict is envolve chat. I suggest you try disabling all your plugins and re-enable them one by one to determine which one is causing a conflict and test the upload function each time. Since I believe this will also solve your other issue I will delete that topic.
TJ, same problem here. I disabled every plugin short of BuddyPress itself, and still this doesn’t work.
Checked my file permissions recursively on the wp-content/uploads directory and setting everything to 775 or 777 also didn’t work.
Are you hitting the post button after you add photo to your post?
The image doesn’t get uploaded. The wall attempts a preview, but shows only a broken image, as the file doesn’t make it to the uploads directory. I can hit post, but only the text will show.
Perhaps there is an issue with your wordpress install. Try reinstalling, ditto with BuddyPress just in case. Can you also send me a link or test credentials so I can test on your site and use debugging tools?
Thanks for the updates from all of you – we have figured out what the problem was. It was PrettyPhoto, not buddyboss.
