Today we updated BuddyBoss, our premium BuddyPress theme, to version 2.0.2. This update fixes some minor bugs discovered in our BuddyBoss 2.0.1 update and BuddyPress 1.5.2 update.

Updates include:

PO file included with theme under languages folder
Fixed CSS formatting on comments
Fixed CSS formatting on comments – removed numbered list
Fixed Read More for comments

We are committed to bringing you superior customer service. We want happy customers.

We apologize that customer service has been less than ideal over the past several weeks. Due to the theme’s popularity we have not had the manpower available to answer all support questions in a timely manner. Last month we put up a job posting for a dedicated forum moderator and all around BuddyPress expert, and we have finally made our decision.

We are proud to introduce you to TJ Chester, the newest member of the BuddyBoss team. He has experience with WordPress, BuddyPress, PHP, CSS and HTML. He has also worked as a Google Search Engine Evaluator and as an Internet Marketing Specialist. He will be answering support forum questions and helping us market the theme. He’ll be working through the existing inquiries over the next week, and then you should expect a 24 hour turnaround time for most support inquiries going forward (not including weekends).

Today we updated BuddyBoss, our premium BuddyPress theme, to version 2.0.1. This update fixes some minor bugs discovered in our BuddyBoss 2.0 update.

Updates include:

Fixed @mention in notifications bar creating a Page Not Found error
Fixed CSS formatting on pages – bulleted lists and tables
Fixed CSS error of highlighting selected menu item’s drop-down pages.
Fixed message overlapping “Add Photo” when using the Public Mention button.

BuddyBoss 2.0 is finally available!

BuddyBoss 2.0 is available as of today. We apologize about the long wait - it took us some time to finish up all of the features as we wanted to make sure we were releasing a polished product. BuddyBoss 2.0 is by far the most significant update to BuddyBoss yet. It’s a complete code rewrite. We’ve listened to our customers and included all of the highly requested features, as well as full compatibility with BuddyPress 1.5 and bbPress. We’re really excited about this release and we hope you love it!

How to update:

Go ahead and download the update and follow our updated Install Instructions. As usual it is a free upgrade for existing customers. If you are upgrading from a previous version of the theme, please make sure to follow our upgrade guide.

About a year and a half in the making, BuddyPress 1.5 is finally out. It is the result of thousands of hours of work from hundreds of volunteers from all over the world. Here’s the complete list of features and fixes for BuddyPress 1.5.

If you are using the BuddyBoss theme, don’t update to 1.5 just yet. We are wrapping up BuddyBoss 2.0 right now, a major update to our flagship theme that will provide compatibility with BuddyPress 1.5. We will release the product within the next several days. If you are already a BuddyBoss customer, you will get this update for free as usual.

BuddyPress 1.5 is almost here. BuddyPress 1.5 beta 3 was released this morning, meaning a release candidate is right around the corner. We are hard at work on a huge update to BuddyBoss that will coincide with the 1.5 release.

BuddyPress 1.5 to be released in coming weeks instead of BuddyPress 1.3

The core BuddyPress team and other volunteer developers have been working hard on BuddyPress 1.3 since February of 2010. They have released 9 point releases since then and the next release will be a major update, so they will be skipping versions and releasing the next version as BuddyPress 1.5, instead of 1.3.

There has been a lot of work put into 1.5:

792 tickets closed
494 confirmed bug fixes
2,161 total code changes since 1.2 was released

1.5 has been officially released as beta software, for developers to test their themes and plugins on over the next several weeks. DO NOT run this beta on your live production site, as it is just beta software and is still in testing. There could be bugs in the software that are uncovered and then patched over the next several weeks. I expect the software to be released to the public around the end of August, possibly early September. You can download BuddyPress 1.5 Beta 1 today if you are interested in testing it.

We will be working diligently to update the BuddyBoss theme in time for the official release of BuddyPress 1.5, so you will be able to safely update BuddyPress with an up to date theme.
